When can I introduce gluten to my baby’s diet?

Do not introduce aliments based on gluten before 6 months. It has to be introduced in small quantities to see if there is any allergic reaction to it. In the first 3 days don’t mix it with anything in order to detect from the beginning if your baby has an allergic reaction.

YES!
Both provide important vitamins, iron, and protein in an easy-to-digest form. Solid food can’t replace all the nutrients that breast milk or formula provides during that first year.

How do I introduce solid food to my baby?

A good rule is to start with rice cereals because are gluten free and less allergenic than other foods. You should give first breast milk or formula and then try on the tip of the teaspoon cereals mixed with milk and take care to be semisolid.
If your baby doesn’t seem interested in it, let him smell it first, and let him get used with the idea. If he still doesn’t like it try it in a week or two. Maybe he will like it or he will hate it, respect your baby preferences.

Solid food can be introduced between 4 and 6 months if your baby is ready. Until then, breast milk or formula provides all the calories and nourishment your baby needs and can handle. His digestive system simply isn’t ready for solids until he nears his half-birthday.
